They are not laptops. But laptop hdds and SSDs can go into about anything.

A old PATA, ide, computer. So you can not mount a SSD and use it.
If you secure it to the top of the cage, that should work.
Here is the manual and page 21 starts the hdd replacement...

Or even post the model of that computer.
I would recommend about a 240 - 256 GB SSD as it will really speed that thing up.
