Remember, mos tof these benchmarks are synthetic, as such your not goign to get actual "real world" performance ocmparisons from them and theyre goign to be much more succeptible to random...

IIRC, Nvidia is currently using an PCI-E-->AGP bridge chip, while all of Ati's current PCI-E lineup are native PCI-E. Despite this, from what little i've seen thus far, AGP is still marginally faster...

I didnt say the gap was particular big (indeed, if you'll look above you'll see i explicitly state the fact that the gap is small), however, it is a gap none the less.

In the majority of casers a 9600 XT (or Pro for that matter) is faster (IMO not enough to warrant the purchase though - the R9800 Pro woudl have represented better value for money)than a Ti4600,...
