i have noticed the same thing as consisuss. i use the ps2 adapter and NO software installed for the mouse and it works great

WEll i have the same mouse, but not on the system i originalybought it for ...so i dont have the software installed for it ....i use the usb/to ps adapterand it works fine no problems ....so try...

Your best bet is to find the jumper on the mother board to clear the bios ....it will set everything to default....including the one you changed ....
