i just recently bought my own laptop - toshiba centrino 1.73 GHz.. running stats:
CPU: 46 deg Celsius (115 deg F)
HDD: 33 deg Celsius (91 deg F)

As some of you out there, I'm not one of the best in keeping track with the many passwords i've been assigned from different places. (more like each time i ahve to guess multiple times...

i'd recommend using DVD-R. not because it's a standard, but because it works on most of the holder DVD players. figured it out the hard way when DVD+R wouldn't play on our older model DVD player
