that beep commonly means there is a ram problem
try using a different stick, if it boots and u still get problems try adjusting the nanoseconds in the bios.

I had the exact same problem when i was trying to install NT4 for the first time.
What you need to do it make sure the partition you are installing to IS fat16.

Using Windows 2000. just installed the software today.
it scans fine, but its just it scans the entire page as appose to just selecting the image, like i get a ****load of white in other words.

I have just got a new scanner, and i cant get it to just scan the image, it picks up on the white background aswell.

I think win 2000 pro is the best operating system at the moment, it has the compatibility of win98 and the stability of winxp, all in all i would recommend using it, i believe that winxp is yet...
