also set your min and max virtual memory to twice the ammount of RAM in your PC. setting is in the system propeties' advaced tab in the performance section.

The XP processors use a performance equivalent rating, the 2000+ means that you can expect the same performace as a 2GHz Intel. In most apps the AMD is faster even thoght it has a slower clock.

I just got the full version of XP Pro and, it is great. The only issue I had was with my Voodoo3 and that there is no 3dfx driver and you have to use the MS drive which does not support Glide. But...
