Running it at 1140mhz...FSB@120 & RAM@160 according to the MOBO...same temps...
...can't wait untill I get more info on just what bridges to cross & unlock it ;)

...there's heatsink compound on it...thin coat...just not artic silver compound...also I will lap the heatsink when I take it off to unlock the chip...the MOBO bios reports temps nearly the same as...

update...sisoft sandra says cpu is at 51c...??...that much difference??

..couple of years ago I hardly knew how to turn a computer on...the one I have now has evolved from a pentium 233...that's the beauty of building...you can upgrade if you plan ahead and save big...

...just a thought...did you try using the KNOWN ram??? or a stick that's proven to be pc100??...I run a 650 PIII and it does fine at 780 but that's all...I use pc133 RAM just to be sure...any chance...
