Don't Know Old Microsoft Password

I have a laptop that I only use with a CCD camera for a telescope that I haven't used since November. Since then I have changed my Microsoft password. I tried turning it on and since it's been off line so long it wants the old password, which I cannot remember. Is there any kind of easy way to straighten this out. I f I can get it working I guess I should take the password off it.

Well, forget about this. I tried a whole bunch of times & must have stumbled upon the old password because it let me in. Then ist asked for the current password so everything looks good now.
