i have a geforce 6200 128mb with 1080 3dmark05 scores....what all frontline games can i play decently atleast at low-mod settings....is it worth spending money on halflife2?
14163... is that good?
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
DFI Lanparty UT nF4 Ultra-D
Radeon X800GTO
CORSAIR ValueSelect 2GB (2 x 1GB)
Requesting some feedback on the below listed system. I have been playing with AITool with overclocking the ATI X800XL.
3DMark2005 - 5068
After tweaking, pushed it to 5838!
My opinion, these numbers are downright poor!
Return to Proxy: 25.6
Firefly: 17.6
Canyon Flight: 28.2
CPU Test
1: 2.5
2: 4.2
Now, for the real question: I think I purchased this card too early as I see several posts with benchmarks in the 14,000's. That is just downright incredible.
I am using the Retail Edge Package:
Intel 820D
Intel 945PSN
74Gig Raptors - Raid 0
ATI X800XL
Do you feel that purchasing the NEW BFG GeForce 7950 GX2, would make a NIGHT and DAY difference?
Thanks...
Also, attached are the NEW price reductions on the Intel Processors.
i got 3306 score with the following rig:
MSI 865PE Neo2 mobo
Pentium4 2.6C HT Northwood @ 3.0Ghz
DDR PC3200 CL3 @ 308Mhz CL2-6-2-2
MSI Geforce 6600 VIVO @ 550/1000Mhz (above GT speeds!!)
WD 120GB Sata 8MB
Maxtor 60GB IDE 2MB
Any suggestions for improvements in this setup without much cost?
thanx in advance.
That's not right. My 6800 GT and 2.8Ghz P4 gets over 5000 on 3DMark05. Something about that is really screwed up. :tQuote:

Wow, nice system! I'd love to see the results when you really push things :tQuote:

Results are in.
11585 marks.
thought mine would have been higher than that.
CPU overclock to 2.4 Ghz
12465
You overclock those vid cards yet?
thats with the overclocked video cards. I think the lower scores is due to the CPU as a bottleneck.
Can you get to 2600 mhz? I am running 260x10 on a 1.1 FSB to cpu on a 4400+ and an X1800XT crossfired @ stock. I think you can beat me if you can hit 2600 on the chip.

are you using a AM2 or a 939 socket? if its 939, tell me what settings you are using.
@2.5 Ghz

I have a 939. I have DDR 500 so I don't need to run a divider. I have HTT set at 4x. I have the vcore at 1.45 and of course the 260 x 10.
Easy OC for this chip really but I won't push it anymore. It starts getting warm at any higher OC. I have 32 idle and 46 load which is fair.
well i got it to 2.6 but i started to get artifacts and errors, so i had to drop it back down.
Try 250 x 10. My chip will run that at stock vcore. I am up and down between the two. 2.6 in the winter and 2.5 in the summer.
The 10 multi is what my particular chip likes. Others have better luck with a 9 or even stock and upping the FSB. Every darned chip is different. Some won't overclock at all. That is an RMA in my book. Overclock or get put into an HP or Dell where the user has no choice. :D
If I can't squeeze 400 mhz out of an A-64 then it is a worthless chip IMO. I can grab 300 mhz with stock volts. Excellent. I will eventually see what this chip can do at 1.6 vcore. I figure 2800-3000 mhz are mine but she is going to be hot. I will wait until I am thinking of upgrading before I go for the PUSH!!
That way, I either get what I want, or I get what I want. LOL
Another test with my new build.
Slightly overclocked processor and video card (well slightly is an understatement)
