"D'oh" has never appeared in a Simpson script.
The guy that does Homer's voice used "D'oh" when he came across "annoyed grunt" in the first script. Simpsons creator Matt Groening insisted that "d'oh" continued to be written as "annoyed grunt" in all Simpsons scripts. His edict carries even into song verses and episode titles that play upon "d'oh," such as the Old MacDonald riff, E-I-E-I-(Annoyed Grunt).
Ah, very sneaky
it is fairly obvious we have many simpsons followers out there, and it is a fantastic show, but has anyone seen Family Guy, not the film, the animated adult cartoon series, I have to say it is so funny, on a par if not slightly funnier than the simpsons. More for the adults then the simpsons. Suggest if you like simpsons then you'll love this!

P.s. will maggie ever speak???
There is an ep that does a 'flash-forward' where Maggie is grown up and about to get married. I think her older self speaks in that one.
No she doesn't speak, they show her on the phone yapping to a friend and Marge tells her to get off the phone that she talks to much..but you never hear her say anything..Quote:

You are correct I just remembered after your prompt, it was the episode where we hear about Lisa's first word which was "Bart", and she calles Homer "Homer" and so does Bart. But then Homer puts maggie to bed and she says Daddy after he walks out the room.Quote:

I believe Elizabeth Taylor is the voice of Maggie in that episode. She also says "Daddilly Doodlly" in the episode where Homer and Marge become "unfit" parents and the Flanders take the kids as fosterr parents.:D
