HP legacy drivers
I don't expect HP to continue to update drivers for very old products but I think they should provide the last driver written even if it is rather old.
I am helping an older man on a fixed income recover his computer after a HD crash. It is a PS/2 80 running windows 3.1/DOS.
I was able with what he had to get everything working except an old SCANJET model 9190A.
He cannot find the driver diskette that came with it. HP does not support this device and won't even provide a driver. It is built like a tank and was working fine till 3 weeks ago when the HD crashed.
This fellow cannot afford a new scanner and shouldn't have to buy one. There should be some type of driver archive but in my search I've found nothing but 4 other folks looking for the same driver.

Do you have a model number in the form of
CxxxxA ? If so I may be able to help

I cant find a part number in that format anywhere.
On usenet 9190A seems to correspond to C5110A but I cannot confirm this anywhere else.
Thanks,
Bruce

Hmmmm, thats a HP ScanJet 5p Scanner, but I cannot confirm if the driver would be suitable !
I did look on our site for SCANJET model 9190A. and can confirm your fear that no driver is available.
I will check more http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I looked on driverguide and no luck. its not on wndrivers either. It is most certainly not a Scanjet 5p. This is the original scanjet which came with a custom interface card either ISA or in his case MCA.
Nobody has this driver that I can find.
