In Windows, to get the best performance reults from SiSoft Sandra, should you run it with the least number of applications open, etc.? ie. nothing running from startup, or in the systray, stuff like that.

Good point... probably having both would be an even better combination, because you can see what your system can do under very little load, and you can see what your system can do under a normal load. Thanx... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Yep...but I personally feel to get the best (ie: Most accurate and most indicitive of your system) results you should benchmark it as you use the machine that way you get "Real World" type results that are not overly inflated becuase nothing else was running.

Do a fresh reboot,and disable unnececarry
programs that normally load with your OS
i.e. antivirus software
