Win98 SE Network // AnalogX Proxy // SockcCap // Morpheus

Hello there,

I have a desktop (P2 400) as the getaway and a laptop (TP P166)as the client set up with cross-over cable, and both on Window 98 SE. The network is fine (file sharing and printing works fine).
The ICS application is "AnalogX Proxy", and it also work fine(both the getaway and client can access the internet, received e-mail and newsgroup). I also use "SocksCap" on the client for "MSN Messenger". My problem is with "WWW.MORPHEUS.COM" on the client. When starting Morpheus by itself, it will open up to the home page of morpheus, but the client user will not be able to access it's shared folders at morpheus and also will not be able to open the file transfer page????
Anybody has any idea as to what I'm missing here?

What ports does Morpheous use? If it doesn't use Socks (1080) or http (80) then your proxies will be useless.

I use MSN on our home network too. We just have ActiveX's Proxy running on the gateway/server machine. It can do Socks4 proxying by itself. You just have to configure MSN to use the proper connection settings...
