no idea, but would NOT click any of these addys, looks like a lot of it is money, free stuff and porn, some of it from offshore. uk/cc/(this one tried to sell me) cz/pk/jp (think this is japan) could also contain some nasty stuff you dont want on your HD.

Setup your email rules and keep adding the senders to your blocked list..Eventually it will slow down (I dont think it will ever stop completely ) and or change email addys and the new one only use for your PRIVATE emails and use the current one for when you have to put a valid email addy in that you know will generate spam.

Good point Alondra! I've delved into my hard drives before and found email I had long since deleted from my online account. Some I didn't recall even opening. Over time that can amount to a lot of space!

Maybe someday someone will come up with a
program that will block any email that you
are not signed up for.

Actually there is a way to do this. You can setup your mail rules to only allow mail thru that is on your approved list. (be careful of using this type of rule as it will not allow mail from anyone that is NOT on your list prior to them sending it to you!) for example. How do you delete spam or regular email from your hard drive? I have deleted history
and have it down to 1 day now. I have
deleted temporary internet files and killed
cookies by shutting down the computer every
day. Can I do any more to get rid of junk ?
Before I shut down the computer every day,
I would sometimes get a freeze up and an out
of memory message.

I agree with Mountain Snow. I started
receiving Spam on an email account I use
to sign up for different accounts and yahoo
stuff. I recognize some of the email
addresses as ones I have blocked. I never
open these emails and always block them. The spam has slowed down.
I have another account that I use ONLY for
family and I have never gotten any SPAM on it.

I am really disturbed that children could
receive this garbage,too.
Maybe someday someone will come up with a
program that will block any email that you
are not signed up for.

I dont even read my mail at school because of possible porno spam. Our internet usage is monitored and improprietys are grounds for expulsion. I saw some address there I recognise. I never got the porno until I signed up for a linux t shirt which I never recieved. oh well barry

I used to get but a few spam messages such as this each day, a couple of times a week, for a couple of years. Once I started blocking the senders, it exploded! I now get at least fifteen a day, sometimes more than thirty! Does Hotmail tell them that I'm blocking them or something and this is their retaliation?

I had a spammer once that didn't forge the headers good enough - I was able to send mail back to the real sender. But I set up my e-mail program so that it looked like the Mailer Daemon thing; I basically made it look like the message was being sent to a nonexistant address. It actually worked too for a few weeks; now I seem to have another one trying to get me to use a credit card for online business.
