The guy that posted this on anands lost his Omax job after someone printed his profile and took it up to one of the stores.

Sheesh try and help someone these days.

Anywho glad you benefited from it. The Omax by my house did not have anything even though it was on the list :-(

How do you get to the stuff?

Is it for B&M Stores only?

I went to OfficeMax search AND to the view cart page and entered the SKU # and every time I get the same thing->
"Error: Item Not Found"

The nearest OM store is about 120 mi RT, so I'd like to know before I drive..

Doc. Sorry to hear that you have such a long drive.....as YES this is only for B&M OM stores I had to drive to 4 different locations but I netted 1 15" TFT screen and 3 19" monitors for a grand total of 570.31 (including tax!) where the normal cost on these would have been over 1600 bucks without tax.

Yes I saw that thread too Wyvrn and sheeze some people have nothing better to do than to screw someone over just becuase they (the idiot) probably wasnt able to get in on these deals

B&M = brick and mortar

This represents stores with a physical address, you can walk in.

Most stores here are "virtural"
i.e. they have no real address,
they have no stock, they order it from warehouses that have "promised" availability

OM is short for Office Max

We use lots of abbreviations that are "non-standard"

You know, it's strange about that fellow that "lost his job."

If I'm having a liquidation sale to dump my older/unwanted/not selling/excess inventory, I'd want as many people as possible coming through the door to take it off my hands. This guy probably brought dozens, if not hundreds more people in that were looking to buy this equipment specifically. If word hadn't gotten out as it did, a lot of that stuff would still be on shelves, with associated inventory carrying costs, etc., because people just coming in to buy stuff in general might not have had any interest whatsoever it the stuff.

Interesting, eh? Maybe they should learn from this guy, and start posting some deals! hahaha

Yes he totally did them a favor in getting rid of some hardware. Sure he broke a rule in posting it, but getting fired was a bit harsh.

I went to my local Omax and could not find anything, looks like their inventory counts may be a bit off.
