Philips sound cards...anyone using them?

I got one in my box now. I got rid of my MX300 to get it. Now I am not sure if my system is slower now with the new card.

I didn't pay much for the card and it is the lowest model version but they are all supposed to have the same sound processor which was suppossed to relieve my cpu not make it slower.

any ideas. I did not get a manual with the new board. it was used. it works but not sure what some of the stuff is for so i don't know if that has anything to do with it.

thanks,
Mike
