Angry no conflicts but bad fight

Hello,

56k winmodem / versus \ Stealth video card with only 2mb ram!.

Everything worked fine, until i installed stealth video card.!

My problem is as follows........Running older machine (Pentium 120 with 48mb ram).

Had been using this machine for awhile and had video problems, My monitor died so i'm currently getting it repaired.

Now my video card was just a little too much for other monitors (i'm asuming) because no other monitor would give me a pic.

So i replaced the card with a cheap trident 256 color for now and everything hunky dorry!

I aquired a new to me monitor which can handle my vid card i found out. I installed it (the video card) and everything fine, No conflicts no problems, UNTIL i tried to activate my isp.

My modem freezes the whole machine and have to do a hot boot because Control, Alt, Delete will not work.

So after that long story whats going on?????.

Any help appreciated.........
Thanks in advance...............

Hmm sounds like an irq conflict.Check in safemode first and see if the card is listed more than once in the control panel/system/device manager. If it is delete all refrences to it and reboot. Also make sure the card is inserted all the way. hope this helps??If not check and see what irq the card and modem are using.

Thanks Ram,

Both of the cards are plug and play with no jumpers at all.

There are no conflicts listed and boots fine.
All cards are seated good and tight, Even changed them around to see if maybe they were sharing something but no go.

Checked all irq's and rma's nothing!!

The only problem i have is when i go to hook up to the net with the modem it just freezes the entire computer. I guess thats not the only problem (Thats a big problem).

Does anyone know whats happenning. And also i'm using the modem now with 256 colors as i write this posting....... So the modem works fine and so does the card........

I'm stumped. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
