usb wireless lan

have made peer-to-peer network with usb wireless lan (802.11b 2.4 GHz adapter on desktop computer. I have fix usb wireless lan directly to computer. how to get batter result of Transmit Frequency?. There is no antena in usb wlan card. how can put like RF cable used in wireless lan card? I required low cost solution. I don't want to use access point. Is it batter for me that usb wireles lan
adapter hang on wall with with usb extention cable.

Use a router with a better antenna. You CAN NOT upgrade a USB wireless to mount an external antenna.
