Did somebody turn my machine into a spam zombie??

ok Im getting all kinds of "returned undeliverable mail" in my inbox now i have looked at the message and scanned them for viruses but there are none. Rgith now i am doing a scan of my computer for viruses. What I'm pretty much asking for is some other suggestions to try if no virus is found.

need to look for trojans as well, but somebody could just be spoofing your email address.

Dont forget hijackthis to see what is running as well. Check your taskmanager too, look for really wierd or random file names. If you dont have XP or W2K get wintop, does the same thing as taskmanager does in the newer o/s's.

hijackthis

wintop

I get these e-mails from time to time! It's likely not a trojan, just that your e-mail addy has probably been harvested from someone else's infected computer and you now find yourself an unwilling occupant on some scums spam list!

Use something like Spamfighter to delete the unwanted e-mails at the server.

[edit] If you didn't send it and the subject line says "Undelivered, Returned, etc...", common sense should tell you not to download it, One day one of them may have a virus attached, as some of mine have. Curiosity killed the cat Dude.
