How tall of a Christmas tree do you usually get?

I usually get a tree about 8 feet tall. About 3 years ago we got a 13 foot tree. That was WAY too big!

The best Xmas decoration I put up was a 3 ft. sign staked in my front lawn with a light shining on it reading "BAH HUMBUG"! Got a lot of attention.

I might try something similar this year. I'll post pics of course.

Inside the house I don't even go as far as Mireland. The most christmassy thing in the house are the comercials on TV.

The thing is, xmas's only point was to divert attention from the pagan celebrations that were held at the end of the year.

The christian church got a bit shirty with people being pagans and having much more fun and dancing around naked (rather
than being told what to do and covering up) that it was decided to create christmas to get people to switch sides.

I think we can say that it was an unqualified success, and actually had some meaning until a few years ago when the
corporate world did exactly the same as the church did, and got everyone to switch sides again, nowdays people go to the shops
instead of to church.

So perhaps we're still pagans after all.

Christmas is the best holiday. Our tree is about 6-7 foot (it's fake though). I like going to church around the holidays (and I like going to the stores too).
