Hmmmm...no broadband!

Hmmmm....bit upset cos I just lost my broadband connnection.

I moved house two weeks ago...from a main town in Scotand with BB to a small town 6 miles away...which doesnt have BB.
BT....I dunno. This is the first time I have been back on a 56K dial up for a while and really cant handle the speed anymore......just toooo slow! In the UK...is there anyway of getting roung BT not having their servers added to specific small towns or villiages.....or do I just have to put up with it!

Any recommedations greatly appreciated

What town?

Not Kilmarnock is it?

Try voting - BT will only add you if they have enough subscribers in your area - need to get a petition organised - know what ya mean though couldnt do without ma broadband now

Try satellite though it will cost ya

Nope....I lived in Arbroath on the east coast...but have just moved to a small town/village called Friockheim...6 miles away. You wouldnt guess that 6 miles would make much difference...but yep! Have checked BT and so far there has been 47 registers of interest from people on this BT exchange. How many do you need...the meter goes up to 150...I hope it aint that much.
BT is telling me that this area allready been reviewed....so maybe?

Anyway...this dial-up lark is really pi--ing me off now!

when I was there in 1999 I was in Machester.....56k was king.
Now I hate 56k with a vengence. It is just yesterdays tech. Broadband, cable, satalite that is the way to go!

F--- Me....300 subscribers. Ud be lucky if there are 300 houses in this new place. Maybe Satalite is the way to go...will have to look into it. Heard it costs a few bob though!
