Screen Color--AOC Spectrum 7Vlr

Had put my monitor on "rest" for 15-20 min. and when it re-opened, the screen colors had gone from white with black print to yellowish green with black print. I can find no way to adjust the yellow out of the screen and get back to the normal white background. Can anybody help? I'm relatively new to the computer world, so instructions need to be clear and non-technical.

Isn't there a Reset button or selection in the monitor setup tool? You need to restore defaults with the buttons on the monitor itself.

It's quite possible that the monitor lost a color or two. Check the cable. If it doesn't help, I would suggest that a repair is called for.

Re: Monitor screen-color

Thanks so much for your input. The monitor has no Reset button; only the small round buttons on left and right of center buton. The right button only puts the screen to rest, the other two appear to be useless. Little boxes show the settings that were oiginally installed when I purchased it, but nothing I do allows me to change any of the settings. HOWEVER, the simplest thing in the world--I checked the cable (as you suggested) and although it appeared to be connected well and had no physical problems, I unplugged it, then replugged it and alas---my screen became white as it should have been. Apparently it had become loose (maybe from kitties having walked across the cords), so now I have taped it to the monitor so it shouldn't happen again. My greatest thanks for your help. You've not only saved my sanity but also saved me the expense of any real repairs. It's really great to find people who will actually help a dumb old lady with no monatary strings attached. THANK YOU!!
