starting over

hi..i think ive done all i can with my 400 overclocked celeron lookin to start over i have about $700 and dont need a hard drive or video card any help would be great

Good, go get an Shuttle, Epox, or Asus mobo with a XP 2200 at least. Chipset? Via kt333 or nForce2. Memory? DDR333.

If you got the bucks to cover it go for the Epox 8RDA+ or Asus A7n8x Motherboard, XP2400+ and a minimum of 512mb of Corsair XMS3200 DDR RAM

that should last you quite a while

OK Sweet i was lookin at the epox but get the plus?? and if i was to get a video card mid range mines not DDR so might as well upgrade that too..thanx will build soon and post back

oh yes one more thing will this system overclock and what would be a good setup to use on this chipset??

The XP 2400 is a very good overclocker,k you will have to unlock it though and lower the multiplier and raise FSB realy though for an effective O/c

As for mid range gfx a gf4 ti4200 or ti4400 with 128mb are good cards and overclock very well indeed
