AMD Unlocking gurus, please tell me . .

I have a 2100+ tbred (B) coming from Newegg and I want a definitive answer on how to unlock HIGHER multies. The MOBO is a Gigabyte 7vrx - my RAM is generic 2100 (micron chips on it). I want to OC the 2100+ (the B is supposed to rock) but I doubt my RAM and AGP. (is there even a 1/5 multi on my board at 166 or so?). I got defogger and I know how to use it. I just need to know where. Thank you very much.

Dang! It occurs to me that with no option for multiplier adjustments in my BIOS I will be SOL even after unlocking, unless there are jumpers . . . have not even looked . . ah ha . . dip switches up to 12.5. Any chance the lower switches will open the higher multies?

You don't need the windshield defogger fixer kit for Tbreds. I unlocked a friends XP2100 Tbred B using this method:

http://www.ocworkbench.com/2002/amd/...ocktbredp1.htm

It requires patience, but works well and is easily reversable.

Thanks Giblet, but this guide says this is for the LOWER multies and I think I'll need the HIGHER ones. Or did I miss something? And read my edit above if you get a chance. Thanks

"Higher" - whoops, my bad. My method is for lower multipliers.

This one should work:

If I remember right, that guy has the highest 3dmark bench ATM.

Uh oh, read the edit.

All I can say is I wouldn't have bought a Gigabyte.

I think I'll be getting a new MOBO too Or else I'll trade the 2100+ for my son's 2400+. He's got better RAM and a good OC mobo, prolly take that 2100+ as high or higher than his AIUCB 2400+. We'll see. Thanks for the help.
