How do you determing the Post Office cutoff time for Postmarking dropped mail ?

Went to the main PO to drop a rebate and a surprise note.

"Weekend Dispatch time 4:30 pm"

My trade union required me to mail job bids, as long as you got them in by midnight they were Postmarked that day.

I've searched all over the USPS site to no avail.

Anyone know another way..

TIA

This won't help if you're just dropping, but I go up to the counter and ask them to stamp it then and there if it's something that has to be postmarked that day, and I've been to lazy to send it before then.

if you want it postmarked before 12pm it will have that days date.
i would go to the window also to have it hand stamped.
dropping it in the box the mail has to go through a process and might not get to the date stamper before 12pm.

this information is brought to you by your friendly neighborhood postal worker.:D :D
