While reading the cDc T-phile Chinese Checkers. (http://www.cultdeadcow.com/cDc_files/cDc-0361.html) I found a link to The Cathedral and the Bazaar (http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/writings/cathedral-bazaar/) a wonderfully written document on the theory of Open Source Software and it's practice. While reading that doc I came upon another link to The Halloween Document. (http://www.opensource.org/halloween/halloween1.html) Which, I think explains why Microsoft should be feed to the dogs by the DOJ. I had previously argued (http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/002321.html) that M$, although bloated and some what inefficient had earned their place and that they should not be punished by the goverment, or at least not severely. I now wish to retract that view and would like to state that they deserve WHATEVER the DOJ sees fit to punish them with. In addition, I will continue my boycott of purchasing M$ products, and encourage the rest of you to do so as well. The use of tactics such as FUD, (http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Hills/9267/fuddef.html) is evidence of a CORRUPT AND MORE SINISTER spirit, than I had thought existed within M$.
