Thanks in advance, El BRio:confused: rockinmale 03-02-2002, 10:49 AM You can change the background color by going into internet properties. Right click on the internet explorer icon. At the bottom of the window you will see (colors) that will take you into a window that will allow you to change background colors, link colors, and text colors. Hope the info helps you out.....:D El_Brio 03-02-2002, 11:04 AM Yeah, that helps a little. Most pages however, don't use the new color. My message boxes still come up in blinding white too. I would like to get everything a nice low-contrast grey or something a little more muted. A pallate swap in windows would be ideal but might create more problems...... Maybe it's not possible. I was just trying to customise my browser fully. (it makes for a much more enjoyable experience you can get rid of alot of unnesscary buttons etc. --- well worth the time BTW). Any other ideas? rockinmale 03-02-2002, 11:56 AM If the white is just killing your eyes try downing the brightness of the monitor. You can either manually change it on the monitor, or going into your display properties and under advanced you should have a color correction option and turn down the brightness there. That should give you some relief on your eyes. Your not alone......Im sure everyone would rather have grey backgrounds. It certainly is better on the eyes.:D intertwine 03-02-2002, 12:56 PM the bad part is, most people specify their background color when the make a html page. It seems like there's something in netscape that lets you override this though. If you can bring yourself to use netscape ;) i can't ;) -scott El_Brio 03-02-2002, 01:30 PM Yeah. Well I have used netscape for like the last six years but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! The **** thing crashes and locks on me daily. I use IE @ work so I finally did the switch. Another big reason I switched is one of my favorite programs - POPUP KILLER - doesn't support Netscape fully. It blocks nearly all annoying IE popups but since I had Netscape as my default Browser some netscape popups were getting thru. Oh well. I hate Microslut but their browser sems to work better for me.
