Turn on your pc, press delete(or crtl, alt, esc keys at the same time) to enter your bios then set a as your first boot device and c as your second(a,c) then save & exit and put your boot disk in.

You can try pulling out all your cards except your video card. That should free up all the IRQ's(you probably have a conflict). Just leave your floppy, CD-ROM and HD connected. You should be able to boot from your floppy now.

I agree with Gutter Ball, there must be a conflict somewhere....make sure the cables and power supplies are all attached correctly, put your boot disc with cdrom drivers in your floppy and turn on your computer.Do the lights flash on your floppy and cdrom when it starts up? If all are connected up..make sure the main power supply to the mother board is also attached well...they should flash and catch your boot disc in the floppy. That should lead you to an A:/ prompt where you can fdisk and format again. Good Luck

iwas wondering if anyone can help i reloaded win95
and in doing so my floppy stoped reading ,i tryed removing it and rebooting ,but still the lite comes on like the computer knows that it is there but will not read or boot from it,and the same gose for cd lite flash at boot but no read,at boot i get message floppy fail.the same gose for cd but it is a different message , to the effect ,there is no cd installed,i noticed in control pannel ,under system/systen devices, that there are yellow ?or!

)cant remember which one) next to the harddrive controller in two places i am not at that computer at this time so i cant tell you the controller names but i am sure you know what i am talking about,in another post i read that there is another way to go to format. something called (1f) instead of format,it is susposed to be a way to format from dos i hope some one knows what that is , cause i am ready to try anything at this point
