I'm looking for a media backup and i cant decide over the Iomega 100mb zip or a CD-r Drive.I'm in Singapore and an Iomega Zip drive would cost me $180 while a 8r4w CD-r or a 2RW IDE kit would be 390 **** dollars. I'm looking at the Iomega zip becoz my sch have this drives at all the workstation thus allowing me to backup all my work easily without the hassle of bringing a media backup kit to sch.

If you have papers or documents you always wanna write, get the zip..if dont get CD-r
the CD-r wins in just about every case except ease of writing. TO write it, you can only write it once (up to 650Mb tho). If you wanna constantly save stuff and move stuff Zip is alot more convient than even a CD-rw. Cuz in a CD-rw you hafta wipe the whole disk before u can write again (if im correct..ive always used CD-r'...never a CDrw
