mouse problem

I just ocd an old pentium 100 machine and tried to load win 95 to test reliability . Upon this installation the mouse disappeared I have tried checking cables but that didnt work .How do I really troubleshoot this problem .

Have you tried setting the clock speed back? Have you tried a different mouse?

It's a little work, but you can get into the device manager and delete the mouse by using the keyboard.

I tried that and also deleting the mouse but to no avail .The next thing that the mouse dosent even come up in the bios setup so I guess that I have a problem .
