It is difficult to compare things without seeing the essential information side by side. It would helpf if you could chart the details for us here.

It would helpf if you could chart the details for us here. Mungla 12-06-2000, 03:45 PM Warthog, Buy.com would be the best deal if they still offered coupons at techdeals. I bought my 30gig IBM75GXP from them with something like a $30 coupon, making the HD just a little over $120 -- this was 2-3 months ago too. EDIT ---------- Warthog, check this link out, I think you'll like it. If your already a customer of Buy.com, have a friend sign up a new account or something. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif http://www.dailyedeals.com/free_online_coupons/buy.htm [This message has been edited by Mungla (edited 12-06-2000).] Warthog 12-07-2000, 12:21 AM What is the difference between these two? - the best deal: http://techbargains.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php?masterid=351334 -second best: http://techbargains.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php?masterid=351334 -what I was looking at: http://www.us.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10252895&loc=1838 The top one seems to good to be true! This is where I originally got the first two: http://techbargains.pricegrabber.com/search_gen.php?form_keyword=IBM%20Deskstar%2075GXP&topcat_id=1 The 1st 45gb hd link in this post is listed towards the bottom of the above link. The second 45gb hd link is at the bottom of the above link. Any reason for the prices? Warthog Warthog 12-07-2000, 01:38 PM ughhh...I'm stupid... here is the actual second link: http://techbargains.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php?masterid=278323 Ok...nevermind. They seem to be the same. Notice that in the first link in my first post has a dramatic price difference between the first price and the others. Seems that Onvia.com has a really good price on it. One thing that does make me skeptical is the lack of specs in the java link "Technical Specifications" under "Compare Price". hmmmmmmmmmmmm....it seems too good to be true! 45gb hd for the same price as a 30gb of same model and brand! Help? Warthog Warthog 12-07-2000, 01:43 PM It is real!!!!!! From Techbargains.com: IBM 45GB 75GXP $149, Dec 7 Onvia has the IBM 45GB 75GXP 7200 RPM ATA/100 drive for only $149.99 shipped. (Thanks Brian) Scroll down the first page and you will see what I'm talking about. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Warthog SysOpt.com
