Hey Gang,

Getting real tired of listening to my Sunon 40cfm fan on my Thermalright SK-6 that's trying to cool my TBird 1.4GHz 266Mhz. The temps are acceptable but the noise is not.

After reading what reviews I could on the Zalman CNPSCU-6000 all copper flower heatsink with 92mm fan, I ordered one in hopes of some peace and quiet.

Anyone using one of these? Opinions? Gripes? Impressions?

Thanks a heap.

I have one of them.

I love it. Not only is it silent ish (there is still noise, but that comes from other fans and PSU) it looks great in the case. The holder is also good, as a fan can be attached to the back to cool you PCI, AGP cards.

One gripe I do have tho is the amount of pressure and the difficulty I had putting it on. I found that the weight of it, coupled with the nasty angle that you had to have it at to hook it under was a nightmare. The little handle thing works very well however.

One of my mates just bought one, but he also got a shim which in my opinion is a very good idea.

Hey thanks, Doc. I have shims so I will seriously consider using one.

Funny though. A fellow on another forum that I posed this question on said he thought the clip was kind of loose. Go figure.

How are your temps in relation to what you were using before you started using the flower?
