I just can't play games since I bought my computer. I have enough RAM-memory (128), I have a AMD K6-3D processor and my OS is Windows 98. For example: when I start Fifa 99, my screen "flashes" one time and then I simply return to the normal screen....
does somebody know how I can solve this problem???I already tried to update my drivers (Ati-card and chipset)

I run Windows 98 and I have the latest drivers installed. Nothing seems to work...

I solved the problem!
First I installed the latest drivers for my chipset and then I reinstalled my ATI videocard-drivers. Everything works fine now thanks!

you MIGHT also want to use the latest directx 8.1 here (http://www.microsoft.com/directx/) but if it's running fine than maybe best not to mess with it
you can find out what ver you have by running "dxdiag"

does your card or motherboard not support AGP 4x?

Err.. a socket 7 board will be lucky to have AGPx2 (newer boards did).

depending on what games your playing, sometimes there are ati patches for the game itself.
