I am currently running ECS K7S5A and like the board. Would like to build a mobo w/ lan, sound and video that will accomadate a HDD ultra 133. Natuarally I do not need all the features and can eliminat the lan, or the video or sound. What do you suggest??

I don't think that there are any boards with integrated UDMA133 yet. I would expect to see some by summer.

If I understand you correctly, why don't you add an Ultra 133
controller card to accomodate whatever HDD you propose
using?
Haven't attempted to build with the K7S5A. . . I think because
people on this site have "scared" me, with all the problems I've
seen posted here regarding this board.

Will have to lokk into the controller card. Dis not know it existed.

Have built 2 K7S5a systems, one for me and a friend. If the mobo is put in the case correctly, everthing seems to go great. Just do it slowly.

Keep in mind that the Promise and Maxtor (same card) ATA/133 cards are PCI66 cards. While they will work in a PCI33 slot, you don't get full performance from it there. Currently, it's mostly "server" boards that have PCI66 slots. You can find some very new "desktop" boards with them.
