I don't know what I did yesterday (forgot) but now if I open a new IE window, it will shrink to a very small size. I will resize it, press the min/max button a few times, open the window again and it will be fine.
BUT every few windows it does it again! I have restarted since this error but it has not fixed itself!
This is so annoying!

You might try this. Boot to the DOS prompt and type scanreg <enter>. You will be guided to a list of previous Registry files and offered the option to select and restore one. Pick one that predates the behavior change and go for it! With any luck, whatever got changed will be back the way it was. Of course, if you made any other system changes, they will be undone as well.
Good Luck.

OK... open the registry and go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Document Windows
Look for a REG_BINARY that's called "height" and set its value to eight consecutive zeros. Then, open up the REG_BINARY that's called "width" and change it to "00000080" That is, change it to six zeros, an eight, and then another zero.
There should also be a REG_BINARY in there named "x" and another named "y" OK. change the "x" to the same as the "width" one above. Change the "y" to the same as the "height" on above (eight consecutive zeros).
Also, if you want the windows that you open to automatically open maximized (unless you specify otherwise in a shortcut to IE), in that same KEY, look for a REG_STRING (or perhaps it's called REG_SZ) that's named "maximized" and change its value from "no" to "yes"
Well, I hope this will work out for you. If it doesn't, then definitely do the above.
Good luck!

Or..... Just resize the IE window to the desired size and then hold the CTRL key down when you close the IE window... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
NDC Thank You! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif You have just given me the answer to something I knew would be easier than patching the Registry to enlarge the "Save As" window. That is, if I could even find where that particular size is kept! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
You're very welcome, Roy! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Hi,
What do you do when you want to open a link in a new window and you want it to be full sized.
Thanks Daniel...
