Yamaha Firmware Upgrade Error

I am using Win ME where my Yamaha CD-RW 8-4-24 IDE drive worked great. When i updated my firmware, it no longer writes. I get SCSI target device error messages in Nero and system resource errors in Adaptec. I tried updating my ASPI files as Yamaha suggested, but still get the same errors. I can't even find past revisions of my firmware to downgrade. Please write me with any suggestions or if you have run into this before. Thank you in advance,

Did you flash it with the SCSI firmware?? If there is such. I flashed my firmware on the same drive just fine. Its at 1.0J now.

No, i used the correct flash. Are you using Win ME? I heard that's the only place my problem exists. Thanks-
