Hi, Folks.

I'm upgrading to a FIC AD11 running an AMD Athlon 1.33GHz Socket A CPU with Crucial 256MB DDR2100 RAM. The system will boot on the default settings; but it reads the CPU as 850MHz. Changing the FSB jumper from 100MHz (default) to 133MHZ causes the system to not boot. Any advice?

I've searched the web and seen lots of posts/articles from people saying they had no problems with this board/CPU combo. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does that motherboard have automatic CPU and voltage detection? Or do you have to manually set jumpers and multipliers, etc?

Is that processor a 200 or 266Mhz FSB processor? You can tell by looking at the first string of numbers on the chip. If they end in B, then it's a 200Mhz, which might explain why it won't boot at 133Mhz, and if it's a C, then it's 266Mhz FSB and we'll have to dig a little deeper. Post back with those findings.

Thanks to all. And the answer is:

You must do a little snake dance to get the FSB freq to correctly changed. It's detailed here (http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.html?i=1418&p=4).:D
