CDRW recognizes only 650 MB for a 700 MB CDR

Help! What could be the source of the problem?

What program are you using? I use Adaptec Easy CD creator 4, and even though the gauge at the bottom only goes up to 650, it will still recognize and use a 700 meg CD.

I have an Adaptec Easy CD Creator version 3.5a. A dialog box appears and stops to proceed on recording a CD if data exceeds 650 MB, even if you inserted a 700 MB CDR.

Does your writer support the newer 80 minute CD's? I would look at the hardware in this case and check out the documentation for the capabilities to read and write with 700's.
