How is it that I hate all Quake games and every game that uses the quake engine but I love rtcw which is based on the Q3 engine and that blows me away..the resond why I ask is that all engins have a feel to them that letts you know what engine your using but man, I just played the RtCW demo and it is just as good (mabey better)dont crusify me :))as unreal toun engine..how custimizable are the engines?

I liked CW too, although I thought Quake 3 looked better. But I gotta say Serious Sam had the look of Quake, downright pretty, but felt so much more....real. If you haven't tried it, give it a whirl.

What did you say..you must wanna be shot.. *grin* just kidding..it is blasphemus to compare serious sam to any of the quakes...SSam is the most fun game I have ever played..

I know, I know. Serious Sam just doesn't cost enough to be compared to Quake:) But, I'm stickin to it!! You know though, I think SOF uses the Quake engine too. And it was a blast!

EXACTLY..yet another Q3 engine game I hated..it just dosnt make sence why I like RtCW so much

I feel the same way, I thought it kind of sucked and dont really understand what the appeal is :confused:

The appeal is multiplayer, the single player is pretty weak

You know, If you like single player, Try Alice. Quake engine too. Fantastic atmosphere.

I almost finished Quake1 (just that I have no idea how to kill that Treething - the last boss I think, but it didn't do anything at all), never got very far in Quake2, and never liked Quake3. Same goes for Unreal, I got to like 3/4 of the game then I quit... Max Payne too, I got thru the subway stage that was it! I quit again. :'(

But I loved every moment of Wolf & MOHAA.

Now I am replaying Wolf and MOHAA all over :D

Question tho: I remember after playing Doom & Duke Nukem 3D I always have this weird stomach feeling. But Quake1 changed all that...weird.. Quake2 kinda brought it back...

i love the quake engine, personally. sof makes me sick if i play too long. i know what you mean though, dod is just a halflife rip off of rtcw, and you can tell its the hl engine all the way, it doesnt fool you for a minute. i cant really answer though (so why did i post, right?) because i like the engine to begin with, so wolfenstein is a shoe in for me.
