Thanks for the replies. So 2 40GB is better than 1. What is RAID0? Is that available as an add on to any computer?

A Raid card is a PCI interface card that you can plug into your PCI port on your mainboard.

The two 40Gb'ers are the way to go. Even without the RAID setup they will be faster. With the RAID 0, they'll be extremely faster.

the two 40's is a much better solution. besides using raid w/ them...the 80 gb is only 5400 rpm
