I have a CompUsa Amerinote Laptop. the drivers load and everything is where it should be .. When I go to use cd-rom it says"drive not accessible".. I recently did a bios flash upgrade where I had to use a boot disk minus memm management. The problem started after that. It has the cd-rom as sec master. Is it possible the flash messed something up? Thanks..Kim

Could have...did you check make sure everything was enabled in the bios? Windows sometimes has a probelm with losing it's CD-ROM drives. I usually remove the drive and controller from device manager and reboot, it will find emm and then they are usable again. I hope that helps.

Are both ide controllers enabled in BIOS?
