Well I just got me a upgrade. I had a voodoo 3 2000 and needed something better then 16 mb video. Well I got the NVIDIA GEFORCE2 MX200. I have a few questions. Can somebody tell me where I can get the newest drivers at? Is there one driver thats better? I have windows 98. The mx200 I got came with a fan. Should I over clock it or just leave it as is? Whats a good over clock speed for the mx200? I heard there are some problems with the Mx200. Anything I should be worry about? Thanks for any help you can give me.

One nice thing about nVidia is that their drivers will work on all their video cards. There are two types, Detonator 3 and Detonator 4. The Detonator 4 is also called Detonator XP. For the G2 series, the Detonator 3 drivers are good to use. You can find the drivers on the nVidia website.

Jimstep. I wonder if the card is from a licensee( for example Vision Tek), which driver should we select, from Vision Tek or from nvidia.com? Or tried both then select the best suited which is not easy as it sounds, it may take time and experience.

I have a VisionTek and they claim that their drivers are the same as nVidia drivers. So, it shouldn't make a difference.

I have geforce2 Mx from vision tek which uses driver 12.41 so far no change but nvidia's drivers have changed many times so they may not be completely the same?

What about over clocking it? I heard it only use 4 watts. Up to 12 watts with out a fan is good. But I got a fan on it. Does anybody over clock it? Whats a good over clock speed for the mx200?

I wouldn't bother overclocking an MX200. The problem with that card is that it only has a 64bit wide SDR memory interface; which means it has about half the memory bandwidth of an MX400. So the problem is that no matter how much you try to O/C the gpu you don't have enough memory bandwidth to feed it properly so you'll see very little difference if you do overclock.
