Hello,
First time posting..
I have an ABIT BH6 Motherboard running a PII 300. The Bios shows a setting for the 300 with a 100 mhz bus speed.
I seem to remember reading that the 350 was the first processor designed for the 100 mhz FSB speed. Is this correct?
Am I safe to throw some PC-100 Ram into my system?
Thanks in advance!

Some of the older Pentium II's were not multiplier locked. I have a 233 Pentium II that will run at 266MHz/66fsb and 100fsb x3.0=300Mhz.
The Abit BH-6
Supports PentiumŽIII 450~700 MHz processor cartridge.
2.Supports PentiumŽII 350 ~ 450 MHz processor cartridge (Based on 100MHz clock)
3.Supports PentiumŽII 233 ~ 333 MHz processor cartridge (Based on 66MHz clock)
4.Supports CeleronŽ266 ~ 333 MHz processor cartridge (Based on 66MHz clock)
I don't think you will have a problem throwing in the PC100 ram. If you are going to upgrade in the near future, pick up some pc133. Ram prices are cheap right now.

Heck you can even use a pc133 on the bh6.
Used the pc133 with a celeron 400 slot1 on the bh6 mobo for a day just to test it. It worked better than the pc100 I was using at the time.
But it will work.
It is perfectly safe to use PC-100, PC-133, or PC-150. It'll just run at 66Mhz.
