PS: Dunno if this is the correct forum to post, if not please feel free to move it around http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
I got an Adaptec 19160 SCSI controller and ONE Atlas 10K II 9.2g U160 8mb SCSI HD. I am planning on getting another exact same hard drive.
Meanwhile, I want to try setting up software raid in Windows 2000 Server but can't seem to find the place to set it up and configure it. Anybody know where it is under?
Can I do a raid with only one drive with 2 separate partition? Most likely doesn't work eh, even if it works performance gain would be next to nil?
How's 256mb for the server edition? Marginal? I don't run a web server or anything, just playing around with it since I'm taking that course in school right now and it does help to a hands on idea of what the teach and the book is referring to @ times http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
I noticed my school is hosting a terminal service where I can login to a Win2k Pro interface and have access to most of the apps they have to offer. Its like I'm on a school client node, except a bit slower due to slow 56k connects http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif
I don't think there's any way I can host such a terminal service or be a web server with only 56k connections eh? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
Thanks,
Plucky
