Can someone please tell me what Microsoft Equation 3.0 is and how I can install it in Win98. Is it native to Win98 or a seperate download.

Thx in advance, Mark

I do not know of a separate download for this. It is an integrated part of MS Word for working with and inserting equations into documents. Have never worked with it specifically.

It's present in Word 97, 2000 and XP. May need to be installed additionally from the CD, as it is not isnstalled by default. very good editor, by the way, used it much.

Thanks..

The default setup for Office 2000 does not include all options but all of the installation files are on the server for you to install any additional options that you need. To install Microsoft Equation Editor on your computer, please do the following:
Go to Start – Settings
Click on the "Add/Remove Programs" icon
Choose "Microsoft Office 2000 Professional" and click on the Add/Remove button
Choose "Add or Remove Features"
Go to the Office Tools section and click on the + sign
Click on the down arrow next to Equation Editor
Choose the "Run from my computer" option
Click on the "Update Now" button on the bottom right hand side of the window
This will install the MS Equation Editor. You should now see this as an option in Word under Insert - Object.
