Generic CDRW drivers?

i know there's generic cdrom drivers (i think) that can be used for most cdroms.

But are there any generic cdrw drivers?
because i cant find the drivers to this old sony 2xcdrw (i dont even know the model!).

You only need drivers if you are using it under MS-DOS, windows 9X does not need CD drivers. If you are still running DOS, good luck.

if you reloaded windows it would probably detect your burner.but if its not detecting it now you'll need to know what brand...about the generic drivers.i am not sure.no burner.here is a link to get you going..http://www.windrivers.com/tech/tips/techsoft.htm
