I finnaly caved today. Just by the plain fact that so many people have it i downloaded Aol instant messenger, I can finally call myself a true scumbag :D

Dissasemble your computer, remove the drives, CD-rom, PSU, fans, cables, power button.. everything. Take your hard drive apart into pieces.. Dip the individual pieces into seperate vats of various types of acid. Clobber the cd-rom drive with the largest sledge hammer you can find. Run over the motherboard with a large truck until it conformes nicely to groove marks of the tires. Melt the cables with a torch and rust the wires in pepsi. Take all your expansion cards wire them to explosives, put them on a small barge and send them out to see and detonate them once they are far enough out that nothing will ever be salvaged. Sell any remaining reminents to the junk yard.

Then go buy a new system, with new software and try to keep that **** off of it this time.

I just managed to get rid of windows messenger from XP, with help from the good folks here at sysopts. I feel CLEAN!!!!!!

I suggest you take your computer down to the river with the local reverend parish minister and you both be fully immersioned baptised .

Then you'll both be clean.:D :D

Why not just use Trillian? You don't have to have AOL,ICQ, MSN installed on your pc and can still contact everyone that does have them IM's. :)
