FOr the users of AIM

THis is for the people who have updated aim to the latest version. i was wondering if anyone else is having a hard time getting on to it. i have been try other server but no lucky. just wondering.

Well, since the upgrade, I've noticed that my computer keeps freezing up when I'm using it. However, I've noticed no troubles logging in at all.

Maybe it has to do with locale, but I don't know. Make sure that you have all your settings in correctly as well.

I think the best idea would be to just wait, I guess, unless someone else comes along with more info.

yeah i upgraded mine...i think it has a lot of bugs

the one thing thats really been pissing me off is that it randomly changes the order of my buddies

i don't think it has to deal with the update version tho becasue i tried an older version of aim and it still had a hard time connecting

I've been using it ever since first beta and it's been fine. I'm running win2k. The only thing that sometimes gets me is that I can't see the info for ppl, but that's no biggy. Never crashed or locked up my system.

I've been running AIM version 4.0.1904 (can't remember if that was ever a beta) at work (connecting using the LAN) and at home (dial-up) . . . no problems yet.

Running version 4.1.2010 I have had no problems. This version works fine and at the moment I am not going to upgrade. Seems as if there may be issues.

i havent updated yet, but has anyone ever had Aim disconect? like it got temporarily blocked by the firewall or something?

I think I have AIM version 4.3. I've had trouble connecting for the last 2 days.

I updated to the newest version earilier this week. Has anyone else noticed that the upgrade wipes out your "Blocked" buddy list?

The moral of the story is: newest is not always bestest- or........ aim carefully
