Direct Cable connection Windows XP to Win98SE

Hey, I need to hook up a 98SE pc to a winxp pc
I have a null modem cable and a null parallel cable
any suggestions??

I want to use the built in windows tools if at all possible, without shelling out money for a new utility.

thanks i'm checking it out now.... they have a section for 9x to NT 4 and another for 9x to win 2k hopefully its about the same....

I have a nic and a cord i could rewire, but i really don't feel like buying a nic and waiting for it to get here (NIC's you can get dirt cheap online as you know, but at a retail store they charge like 30 bucks round here..... insane) Plus I paid 30 dollars for this cable a couple years ago for 2 player games and I still hardly used it, why spend more money when you can get by with what you have?
