There are several problems with using a SUN monitor with windows/dos... MOST SUN Monitors will only run in ONE resolution! usually it is 1024X768 @ 75-85Hz. Now that means that during POST/bootup/DOS/Windows Login screens ... the monitor will be unable to display these ... because they run at resolutions of 800X600 or less.... so it will work fine in windows ... but not at any other time.
